Obituary

Hermione Beatrice Rose Robinson, age 3, was our princess and our angel, our Neverland fairy and our shining light. She adored patty cake, books, and bananas, but mostly she loved to nestle into her mother's arms. Hermione Beatrice Rose Robinson, age 3, was our princess and our angel, our Neverland fairy and our shining light. She adored patty cake, books, and bananas, but mostly she loved to nestle into her mother's arms. Born on July 19, 2011 in Asheville, Hermione experienced more struggle and pain in her three short years than most will ever know and yet she faced it all with a spirit and a courage that will forever inspire us. She was a fighter, who began her life having to fight for every breath. She was a storyteller, and though unable to speak she shared with us tales of bravery and determination. She was a leader, and though she never walked she led us down a path to compassion and true joy. She was a promise, of triumphs to come and of barriers to be broken.
She is survived by her devoted parents, Groce Scot & Autumn Karen Grosser Robinson, and her three steadfast and attentive brothers, James Groce Yeats, Christian Jude Jean & Virgil Thomas More Robinson. Her doting grandparents are Groce Randall & Carolyn Rose Pulley Robinson, Shelia Jean Holton Grosser, and Ward & Becky Grosser. She is loved by her great grandparents James Groce & Ruby Nodine Robinson, and Allene Beatrice Overton Holton, as well as by her Uncle Dustin Grosser, Uncle Damien & Aunt Victoria Storm, her Aunt Christy Reeves along with her children Kaylee, Lana & Garrett Reeves, and her Great Uncle Roger Allen and Great Aunt Carol Holton, as well as too many more to name.
Hermione relinquished her life unexpectedly to epilepsy on Thursday, March 26 at McDowell Hospital, with her mother and father holding her. Her funeral service will be held on Palm Sunday at 3:00pm at Old Fort First Baptist Church with graveside service to follow at Bethlehem Community Cemetery. A Memorial Mass for Hermione will be held at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church on Monday at 11:00am. Flowers may be sent to Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion.
